Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be 62 years or older
- Must have CWLP electric service in their name
- Must have a total household income not exceeding 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
(In 2026, the maximum qualifying income is $47,880 for a single-person household and $64,920 for a multi-person household.)
Eligible CWLP customers can sign up for the Senior Citizen Discount at the CWLP Customer Service Office at Municipal Center West - 300 S. 7th Street - Room 101. Be sure to bring one of the following documents to prove your age:
- Valid Driver's License
- State of Illinois ID Card
- Birth Certificate
- Medicare Card
Also bring all applicable documents to prove your income eligibility:
- Wage Statements
- Federal Income Tax Form 1040 (most recent filing year)
- Social Security benefit statement
- Retirement/Pension Information
- Interest/Dividend Income Statements
- Benefit Access Application
