Lake Springfield offers eight public parks with 35 picnic areas, two recreation buildings, six softball diamonds, horseshoe pits, a volleyball court, and numerous playgrounds. Many of these special park facilities are available for reservation by the public.

In addition to the CWLP-owned and managed parks and facilities, the lake area also boasts a golf course, a zoo and a nature garden.

Some parks or park facilities have been designed with the needs of individuals with disabilities in mind.

Most of the parks are closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., although certain reserved facilities may be kept open as late as midnight. East and West Tom Madonia Parks close at 9 p.m.
